Aghiatrias - Epidaemia vanitatis (2002)

Conceptual, dark ambient-industrial album, based on the cycle of 4 ritualistic musical prayers "Invocationes" of Vladimír Hirsch, composed in 2001. The album (1st release on our own label Integrated Music Records in 2002), is, from the viewpoint of musical form, another step of the composer and formation on their way in integrating tonality into atonality, classical into postindustrial, etc.

Vladimír Hirsch is a Czech composer, instrumentalist and sound experimenter, integrating modern classical, industrial and dark ambient music with a genre overlap conception. Besides creating solo works, he is the leading personality of bands and projects Skrol, Aghiatrias, Zygote (CZ), Luminar Ax, Subpop Squeeze, and Tiria. He was a member (keyboard player and vocalist) of experimental post-punk group Der Marabu (1986-95). His style is characterized by polymodal architectonics and the usage of digital technique to enhance sonic means of expression, where modern classical elements fuse within a dark experimental soundscape.

Skrol is a martial industrial-neoclassical band, formed in 1995. It consists of composer and keyboard player Vladimír Hirsch, singer Martina Sanollová and a non performing members, Tom Saivon, who provides noise structures and lyrics. The music is based on integration of neoclassical compositional principles into industrial structures, with heavy rhythms, symphonic arrangement of electronics, classical organ, strings and brasses. Ecstatic and igneous expression of the singer crowns intense atmosphere and original musical language of the band.
